Toyota Material Handling UK has donated a new forklift to be used by the charity Transaid for materials handling training programs in Zambia, Africa. The forklift — the second donated by Toyota since 2009 — will be used to support Transaid’s Professional Driver Training Project, which seeks to provide local transport solutions to improve access to basic services and economic opportunity. In making the donation, Toyota partnered with Norbert Dentressangle Logistics, a British materials handling firm which will send one of its own forklift trainers to the charity’s training facility to provide onsite training.
