You’ve heard of iPhones, iPods and even iPads. But what about an iCampus?
That’s the name of a new online training program now being offered by Intelligrated, the Cincinnati-based provider of automated materials handling solutions.
iCampus is a learning management program covering occupational safety, Intelligrated equipment and general maintenance training. It was designed by OSHA-authorized and PMMI-certified instructors to provide maximum knowledge retention, according to a company news release. Users can work their way through the training at their own pace in order to satisfy the training requirements for manufacturing and distribution facilities.
iCampus covers such topics as work platforms and safety, general facility maintenance information and maintenance instruction on specific Intelligrated products and systems. It is designed to be used in conjunction with instructor led training as part of a blended learning strategy.
The company offers the e-learning program on both individual and company-wide subscription options.
One of the benefits of online training is that it can be accessed from anywhere 24/7. The program includes management tools that allow users to track their progress and check off milestones for supervisor verification. The course will be continually updated by Intelligrated as new information becomes available. It can even be customized to meet specific employee and job requirements.
Plus, iCampus can be integrated with a facility’s existing HR training software to archive training status and performance, according to Randy Ransom, Intelligrated’s training director.
“Online training modules offer the ability to train at any place and at any time,” Ransom said. “The iCampus system ensure students get the most out of their training and are best prepared to perform on the job.”
