Airline pilots and astronauts work with flight simulators. Why shouldn’t forklift operators?
That’s the thinking behind a new warehouse simulator computer program created by Yale forklifts. The simulator allows users to visualize improvements and calculate efficiencies in your warehouse by stimulating real-world scenarios based on unforeseen changes in your operations.
Old-school analytical tools such as time/motion studies and spreadsheets can be costly and time-consuming. But the warehouse simulator is not only fun to use, but it takes into account complex issues such as truck interaction and congestion around staging and pickup locations.
The warehouse simulator software combines advanced mathematical modeling with an intuitive, easy-to-use interface that focuses on improvement all aspects of handling, storage, warehousing and operating forklifts in a busy industrial environment.
